There’s a song ringing beautifully in my ears about our risen Savior that says, “He’s alive, He’s alive, hallelujah Jesus is alive!”

According to The Encarta Dictionary Online, the word resurrection is defined as rising from the dead.  This is precisely what happened to Jesus Christ over 2,000 years ago.  If you were to search His tomb today you would find absolutely none of His remains.  He was raised from the dead unto everlasting life.  He offers this same resurrection power to all humanity today.  We are given the privilege to accept Him into our life as our personal Lord and Savior.  He gives everyone an opportunity to exchange their sinful life for an existence full of the life of Christ and a promise to live eternally with Him.

Therefore, we have at least three powerful reasons to celebrate what I like to call “Resurrection Sunday.”  The first of course being that God loved the world so much that He gave His only son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world.  Oh, what a love!  It is so high that our fleshly bodies cannot begin to understand it all, but, it belongs to us just the same.  The next awesome reason is that although Jesus’ death was fatal, it Was Not Final!

When He left the tomb He had all power in His hands and it was evident that Satan’s plot to kill him had been defeated!  The third reason is that if you have given your life to Jesus Christ and are indeed living for Him then you have already tasted of God’s divine resurrection power.  He literally transformed your life from one state of being to an entirely different way of living.  You have experienced a personal resurrection!!  It’s time to celebrate and give God praise for the greatest miracle of all, salvation through Christ Jesus!!!  “He’s alive, He’s alive, hallelujah Jesus is alive!”

If you are reading this and have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, it’s as simple as ABC.

A-    Accept the fact that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (see Romans 3:23).  In other words we all need a Savior and His name is Jesus Christ.  None of us are perfect and we can’t clean our own selves up.  We have to rely on God to do that.

B-    Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you so that you can choose to receive eternal life (see John 3:16).  God’s love for us is so great that even if you were the only person on earth at the time of the crucifixion Jesus would have still died for you.

C-    Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (see Romans 10:9-10).  Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and to come into your heart and be Lord and Savior of your life.  Tell others about what just occurred in your life.

Get connected to a body of believers who preach/teach the word of God and demonstrate His love.  May God’s grace and peace be multiplied unto you.
