Have You Hugged Someone Today?

Have You Hugged Someone Today?

Have you hugged someone today?  Have you done something to brighten someone’s day? There will always be a need for love and kindness to be shared.  Some people rarely experience these things due to chaotic lifestyles, a lack of peace, or other stressors of life.  What may seem like “only a smile” to you may make a world of difference to someone who’s having a bad day.

There are many types of ways to show the love of God.  Just think about how much power that’s contained in a hug especially coming from a loving and caring person.  For instance, the right words that are spoken in the correct way can have the same impact as a warm and sincere hug.  Hugs can bring healing, comfort a crying child or adult, and bring peace to someone who is experiencing emotional pain.  Hugs are a wonderful expression of God’s love.

Sometimes it may not be appropriate to extend a hug to someone.  Some people have experienced trauma involving inappropriate touch and do not care for hugs because it triggers flashbacks of being violated.  Since we don’t know everyone’s situation it is always appropriate to ask the person if it is ok for you to give them a hug before wrapping your arms around them with the best of intentions.

There are other impactful ways of extending hugs without making physical contact such as displaying kindness, giving someone a warm and genuine smile, saying good morning to someone that you don’t normally communicate with, and offering help to someone who’s having some type of difficulty.  The options are endless.

This blog serves as a reminder to let God’s light shine through you.  You just may be making positive deposits in someone’s life that will change the course of their day and perhaps even their life.

Reflections

1. Think of a time when someone gave you a hug or kind gesture when you weren’t feeling your best. How did it make you feel?

2. Consider the fact that God allows you to experience the kindness of others to remind you of His love for you. Take a moment to thank Him for all of the ways that He shows His love for you.

3. What are some ways that you will show God’s love to others this week?

It is our goal to bring you anointed words and services that inspire, encourage, and foster a closer relationship with the Lord. We thank God for you and want you to know that you’re always welcome at The Angelic Pen, “Where the words of heaven flow from God’s Heart to your spirit.”

The #1 Thing To Be Aware Of When You’re Flowing With God

The #1 Thing To Be Aware Of When You’re Flowing With God

There’s nothing like being in the perfect will of God.  It is a wonderful feeling to know that the God of all creation chose you for a specific calling, blessed you with certain gifts and talents, or even given you a unique assignment.  As you flow in these divine attributes you are completely aware that you are not doing these things in your own strength, intellect or ability but, God is working with you.  As great as all of these things are it is imperative to be aware of the #1 enemy to flowing with God.

The name of that enemy is pride.  This is not the healthy type of pride as in that of a parent that takes great pleasure in the accomplishments of a child.  Rather this type of pride is boastful even having the capability of making someone think that they don’t need God or that perhaps they even know more than Him.  Instead of flowing with God pride will cause you to go ahead of Him.  Pride will cause you to become conceited about the anointing that God placed on you confusing it for your own power.

In conclusion, if seeking to please God is your #1 priority, then it will be hard pressed for pride to enter into your life.  Staying humble is vitally essential as you flow with Him.  Make sure that your life lines up with the word of God.  Ask Him to help you stay grounded when the spotlight is on you and people are giving you accolades.   Serve God with a heart of gratitude realizing that it is a privilege and an honor to be chosen by Him never forgetting that He gets all of the glory.

Reflections

1. Have you ever had to deal with pride in your life? If so, how did you handle it?

2. How do you think God feels when someone acts as if they no longer need Him?

3. What are some things that you plan to do to ensure that you remain humble as you flow with God?

It is our goal to bring you anointed words and services that inspire, encourage, and foster a closer relationship with the Lord. We thank God for you and want you to know that you’re always welcome at The Angelic Pen, “Where the words of heaven flow from God’s Heart to your spirit.”

It’s Time To Get Excited About New Beginnings!

It’s Time To Get Excited About New Beginnings!

The beautiful month of August has arrived.  There is something significant that stands out about this month and that is the fact that it is the eighth month of the year.  In biblical terminology the number eight represents “new beginning.”  There is a strong sense in my spirit that the Lord is shifting some things during this time for His people.  These changes that will occur will be good things.  Some of the changes will be answers to long awaited prayers.  Yet other changes will be the Lord taking you into a new direction with clarity.  You will know with certainty that God is orchestrating the new direction.  This is a time to get excited about the new beginning that God is sending your way!

Whatever the changes are that will be seen in your life know that they are because God loves you, He always wants the absolute best for you, He delights in blessing His children, and it’s your time to shine brightly and boldly for Him.  So get excited about this new journey.  Go forth with an attitude of gratitude.  Start thanking God right now for your new beginning.  Ask Him to confirm this word with signs following in Jesus’ name.  Don’t forget to testify about the goodness, mercy, and grace of your Heavenly Father as He reveals the New Beginning in your life.

Scriptural References For This Prophetic Word

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.  Isaiah 43:18-19

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  James 1:17

Reflections

1. When you notice the good changes occurring in your life be sure to thank God for each one.  Remember He’s the one orchestrating this wonderful change.

2.  Keep a journal of the changes that you see.  Be sure to date it, and take some time to reflect on the goodness of God.  Think about how things used to be and compare them to the new changes.

3.  What are some things that you would love for God to shift in your life?  Have a conversation with Him about it right now.

Please share your testimony in the comments section on this page about the new changes that God brings into your life!  Thank you.
