In Awe Of God’s Amazing Grace

In Awe Of God’s Amazing Grace

Sometimes I sit in awe of God’s amazing grace.  His great compassion, concern, and love is overwhelming at times.

I must admit, there have been situations that I’ve had to face that were dark and stressful.  Logically there were no existing solutions but, God always knew the right time to bring forth the best answer pertaining to my situation.

To be perfectly honest with you there were times during my waiting process that I waivered in my faith.  I wondered when God was going to answer me or even if He was going to answer.  Sometimes He just remained silent.  I had to realize that He was still concerned and that He was definitely carrying me even though it didn’t feel like it.  His grace was seen even during that time.  When my mind and emotions weren’t lined up in faith His love remained the same.

His amazing grace and love never left my side.  My Heavenly Father never gave up on me, never turned His back on me, and never stopped watching over me. I am so grateful for His unconditional love.

As I reflect on the goodness of God I feel such a closeness to Him, and His love engulfs me like a big warm blanket on a cold and snowy day. I am so grateful for the beautiful relationship that I have with Him; the lover of my soul, healer of all wounds, my redeemer, and so much more. I pray that this blog post encourages you to take some special time and do your own reflecting on the goodness of God.

The Magnificent Power of Prayer

The Magnificent Power of Prayer

When we truly understand the magnificent power of prayer it becomes our number one tool.  We reach for it when the stress of life creeps into our daily activities. The challenges and the distractions of living life on purpose for Jesus can become overwhelming for many of us. Powerful communication with the Lord and consistent interaction keeps us charged up and reminds us who has our back during times of stress.

There’s nothing more soothing, reassuring, and comforting as the magnificent power of prayer. We have the ability to spend quiet time with our Heavenly Father. Being alone in His presence is absolutely priceless! The mere fact that He wants to spend time with us is enough to make us aware of how blessed we truly are.

This is the holy and special place. This is where everything can be shared from your innermost thoughts, burdens, and hurts to joyfulness, thanksgiving, and everything in between.

The Lord loves for us to spend time with Him and quite frankly the feeling should be mutual. We should love spending time with our Heavenly Father. After all He is our creator. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He loves us more than we can ever imagine. He always wants what’s best for us. He delights in blessing His children. He’s never too tired to listen to us neither does He lack solutions for any problems we face.

This is a reminder to go to God in prayer. He is the source, power and relief for whatever is needed in your life.

The Powerful Impact of Words and Actions

The Powerful Impact of Words and Actions

There’s a powerful impact of words and actions which can be displayed positively or negatively.  I’m reminded of a situation that happened when I was in middle school.  One of my classmates was a nice, quiet young man who used to smile all of the time.  It would be extremely rare to see him without a smile on his face.

One day our teacher asked him to deliver a note to a teacher of another classroom.  Of course, he was delighted to run the errand.  However, when he returned to our classroom it was apparent that something was terribly wrong.  This was evidenced by the fact that the smile that he so proudly displayed on a daily basis had disappeared from his face; even his physical stance had changed and was no longer confident.

I couldn’t help but wonder what had happened to him.   Our teacher took one look at him and instantly knew what the problem was.  Her comment to him was, “you read the note didn’t you?”  Without a smile in sight, he nodded his head with a gesture of yes.  He later disclosed to someone what the message said, “Doesn’t he have a stupid smile?”

I never forgot that story and how the power of words used in the wrong manner can crush someone’s spirit.  The teacher knew that the young man would be smiling when he handed the note to the other teacher.  Being teased by peers can have a devastating blow and even more so when it is coming from a person of influence.  I’m sure that my classmate respected, admired, and felt safe with our teacher however, that experience could have changed his very life in a negative way.

The moral of this story is to realize the power of the words that we say and to treat everyone with dignity, kindness, and respect regardless of their age, race, or differences.  I pray that my middle school classmate was restored through God’s love and words that heal.  And I pray that the teacher learned a valuable heart lesson in doing unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Reflections

1. Have you experienced any situations similar to what my classmate experienced? If so, how did those situations effect you?

2. Ask the Lord to heal you from any hidden hurts that may have come from negative words spoken to you.

3. Activate your healing by being extra kind to someone today and showing love to someone who may be going through a difficult time

It is our goal to bring you anointed words and services that inspire, encourage, and foster a closer relationship with the Lord. We thank God for you and want you to know that you’re always welcome at The Angelic Pen, “Where the words of heaven flow from God’s Heart to your spirit.”
