There are moments in life when circumstances seem impossible and the outcome appears certain. Yet God has a way of stepping into situations that are beyond our natural understanding and demonstrating His supernatural power. Sometimes, it is only when we look back that we fully recognize just how faithfully His hand protected, sustained, and carried us through.
As we reflected in God’s Amazing Grace in Difficult Times: A Reflection on Faith and Hope, God’s presence and grace remain with us even in seasons when we cannot see what He is doing. And in A Spiritual Love Story: The Life-Changing Power of God’s Unfailing Love, we were reminded that His love can completely transform circumstances that seem far beyond our ability to manage.
Have you ever considered the situations God has brought you through that could have ended very differently? This month’s reflection, Unscathed, is an invitation to remember those moments, give God praise for His miraculous protection, and trust that the same sovereign God who carried you then is still with you today.
Unscathed is a powerful word that God whispered in my spirit one night. The word means completely without harm or injury.
When you have a chance, take time to read the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3. King Nebuchadnezzar ordered them to be bound and thrown into a fiery furnace heated seven times hotter than usual. By all natural logic, they should have been burned beyond recognition.
But because the Lord was with them, they were not consumed!!!
Have you ever been in a situation where you should have had a traumatic outcome? Logically looking at the circumstances, you should not have survived, but because the supernatural power of God was with you, you came out unscathed… completely without harm or injury.
If you’ve ever experienced this, you have powerful and undeniable praise ingrained in your heart forever. So, whenever things look impossible, just draw from the miracle of God allowing you to be unscathed. Never forget the times when the enemy came after you with a devastating blow, and your Heavenly Father stepped in with a miraculous ending for you! He is sovereign! Nothing is ever too hard for Him!
In your own unique way, give the Lord special praise from your heart right now for His miraculous hand in your life.
🙏 Prayer
Dear Lord,
Thank You for being my Heavenly Father and for bringing me through life’s most difficult situations, unscathed.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
