Preparing For The Open Door

Preparing For The Open Door

Has God given you a specific calling or perhaps a particular assignment to do?  Are you aware of the impact that your God given spiritual gifts, skills, talents, and abilities can make in the world?  The very fact that His word tells us to let our lights shine is proof that He has given each of us something that we need to share with others.

It is a wonderful thing if you’re flowing in the things God has called you to do.  It is literally the answer that someone else needs.

If for some reason, you have found it hard to move forward in the things that God is leading you to do,  it is not too late to begin moving in that direction today.  God is so loving and patient, and He is big enough to remove every hindrance.

He wants to open some doors for you that will cause you to shine for Him.  As a result of this others will glorify Him.  What a blessing!  Below, I will share some things that you can start doing today to prepare you for the divine opportunities that will come your way.

  • Repentance is necessary if you haven’t done what God has called you to do.
  • Make a list of things that you love to do.
  • Make a list of your spiritual gifts, callings, talents, skills, and strengths.
  • Make a commitment to do something in those areas daily. This will strengthen you and build momentum that will cause you to flow with God.
  • Remind yourself that God is always with you. You’ll never have to do His will without Him.
  • Take a step of faith and do something new as it pertains to your spiritual assignment.

Reflections

  • Name something that you feel God has been leading you to do, but you haven’t done it.

  • What action steps will you take to begin moving in the right direction?

  • Name something that you love to do that can be a benefit to others.

It is our goal to bring you anointed words and services that inspire, encourage, and foster a closer relationship with the Lord. We thank God for you and want you to know that you’re always welcome at The Angelic Pen, “Where the words of heaven flow from God’s Heart to your spirit.”  Kimberly Smith

Heal Us Oh Lord

Heal Us Oh Lord

To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.    ~Isaiah 61:3 New King James Version

Heal every bit of brokenness. Shed light on the dark places of our souls.  Heal us oh Lord. Make the crooked places straight.  Hear what our voices refuse to utter.  Let Your love reach down to the depths of our pain and pull out a miracle.

Cause shame and confusion to overtake our spiritual adversaries until the torment that was inflicted upon us turns on them and causes them to run in fright because of the blood of Jesus.  Save our human tormentors, but annihilate our spiritual foes whose fate is to be burned in the lake of fire, never to be seen again in the name of Jesus!

Heal us oh Lord.  Let joy rise up in our souls again.  Cause us to laugh again until it’s apparent that a breakthrough has occurred, but most of all that we’ll experience what a real breakthrough truly feels like.

Joy of the Lord come forth and flood our souls.  Cause us to smile again.  Cause us to sing again.  We cry come forth, come forth; in Jesus’ name come forth.

Father, we receive Your love, Your peace, the warmth of Your embrace, and Your smile.

In Jesus’ Name,

Reflections

Find a quiet place, you may want to have soft instrumental soaking music playing as you reflect on the prayer above.

As you go before your Heavenly Father, enter into fellowship with Him with an open heart, being totally transparent. Give Him all of your brokenness, anger, unforgiveness, disappointments, and your silent screams.  Allow Him to minister to you.  Receive His love, comfort, and counsel.  Let Him know how much He means to you and how much you depend on Him.

Thank Him in advance for the divine exchange that will occur in your life.

It is our goal to bring you anointed words and services that inspire, encourage, and foster a closer relationship with the Lord. We thank God for you and want you to know that you’re always welcome at The Angelic Pen, “Where the words of heaven flow from God’s Heart to your spirit.”

We Are Still Intrigued

We Are Still Intrigued

When we look back over our lives and reflect on God’s amazing grace and how He brought us through so many situations, we are still intrigued! Some things that we’ve experienced would have surely left us destitute, without any hope for a brighter day, had it not been for the omnipotent hand of the Lord stepping in to save us.

We will never experience the kind of love and compassion that flows from His heart to ours from anyone else in the world. He is love. He is compassion. Any form of true love and compassion originates from Him.

Take some time and celebrate your freedom! Celebrate the love that God has poured into your life. Honor Him with a heart of gratitude for destroying the chains that used to bind you. Praise Him for removing a steady flow of sadness to an oasis of joyfulness! Praise Him for turning impossible circumstances into testimonies that not only had the power to set you free but others as well.

Always take some time and reminisce on the saving grace of our Lord! It’s a wonderful thing to celebrate His goodness. It brings honor to His name. And joy, peace, and reassurance come when we are confident in His unfailing love.

Reflections

1. What were the biggest hardships, addictions, or trials you’ve ever faced and overcame?

2. Make a strong resolve to never forget where the Lord has brought you from.

3. How do you demonstrate your gratitude for what the Lord has done in your life.
